What to bring on a African Tour

Africa tours are a great way to escape the cold weather especially when going on a kenya camping safaris That said, you have to be prepared. Most African countries are quite hot so when you are packing there are certain items that you must include. The first is sun block – the last thing you want is to get a sunburn. Make sure that you bring extra tubes of sunscreen to last throughout the trip. Don’t buy cheap either – it pays to spend a little extra because you protect yourself not just against sunburn but also against the risk of melanoma.

You must make sure to bring a safari hat along as well. The bigger the brim the better – since you will not be able to wear heavy protective clothing a hat will take care of your face, neck and shoulders. If you cannot find a hat with a big brim near you don’t worry – most airports in Africa have them in Duty Free shops.

The shoes that you bring matter. Invest in a comfortable shoe that is breathable because the hot weather will make your feet sweat. Bring along lots of pairs of cotton socks to keep your feet dry. For those moments when you will be relaxing you should carry along a pair of comfortable sandals.

As for clothing, cotton works best. For comfort it is best to bring slacks and shorts and lots of light shirts. If you will be going anywhere in or near the Sahara bring a long a heavy jacket – the nights are freezing cold. If, however, you will be travelling further south then a light sweater or jacket will do. If you are headed to the southern cape check what the weather will be like – they tend to have cold, dry winters during some months.

Good luck and have fun on your Africa tours! For the best african tour companies
